  question for former elders:.

  how much of your time was spent quelling gossip and rumors floating around.

  i'm not talking about csa type stuff, just regular insignficant stuff that people occupied their time over..

  Elders didn’t ‘quell’ anything.
  If anything, they told their wives. Then these stupid women told every douchebag pioneer (who actually felt entitled to know EVERYTHING about everybody). I’m not exaggerating when I say everything.

  There was a family of six who attended my old congregation. Husband, wife, three teen girls,19... 17... 15... and a younger brother. At our Tuesday night Ministry School meeting, the elder announced that the 15 year old was disfellowshipped.

  The family left the 15 year old at home alone, while the rest of the family attended the 3 meetings during the week. I found that to be cruel punishment. Child services should have been called on the family.

  I found out from my mom that she was disfellowshipped for ''fornicating'' with her ''worldly boyfriend.'' Who told my mom? How did that information get out? It probably came from one of the gossiping elder's wife. Elders tell their wives everything. Most wives do keep secrets, but some gossip falls through the cracks.

  Ten years ago, John Cedars a.k.a. Lloyd Evans wanted Rick Fearon to apologize for, '' verbal excrement and dishing out insults.'' Ten years later, Lloyd Evans refuses to apologize to his wife and step down from his community ( who donated money for his activism ) for spending their donations on trips that involved hookers on many occasions. TALK ABOUT BEING CAUGHT WITH YOUR PANTS DOWN!

    Thanks minimus, twitch and sir82. I'm not completely naive you know! I know Rick thrives on attention. Normally I can just let him get on with it, and as I've said before, the lunacy of his tirades speaks for itself. However, I'm also a believer in people apologizing when they cross the line, which I feel Rick has done with this latest thread. He no longer seems content to spew forth verbal excrement - he now seems intent on dishing out insults and patronizing remarks against any who would oppose his methods (which is by far the majority).

    Since a good percentage of those who visit this forum are faders like me, and Rick has now effectively branded any who won't man the pickets and/or unveil their identities as cowards, I feel an apology should be forthcoming.

    Just because his behaviour is wearisome and predictable, doesn't mean he shouldn't be called to account when he goes too far.

  Can someone explain to me,why somebody can say that he is Sexually Repressed and went to prostitute,because he was a JW(or GBW...Governing Body Worshiper) because JW can't masturbate,watch porn,or do "sexting",ect. when that same somebody wrote a book with many,many DETAILS, on how when he was a JW Pioneer,M.S.,MARIED ELDER, he was masturbating,watching porn and SEXTING the hole time...????

  
  

  HERE ARE SOME READER REVIEWS ON HIS BOOK: THE RELUCTANT APOSTATE

  The writer is quite brazen in discussing his repressed sexuality and personal frustrations with it prior to his marriage. On the surface this doesn’t necessarily present a problem, but this is where the writer’s inexperience in writing a book seeps through his veneer of confidence. Particularly cringe-inducing was the writer’s plentiful references to his self-pleasuring habits. This reaches its climax when describing his sexual frustration while attending MTS courses with a quite embarrassing conclusion.

  First of all, I am shocked that the author’s wife Dijana (directly named in the book by Lloyd Evans) has to have her own husband’s infidelities broadcast and described in detail to complete strangers. In the book he had described going to the elders first to report these indiscretions as his wife’s idea, but my main thought when reading this was why put her through all this

  This guy is a sick pervert. He has an obsession with masturbation and feels the need to document it in this book. I don't see how it is relevant and helpful. Please seek therapy.
  

  The author gives ridiculous arguments for his points also. I will give one example and I am done: In the chapter on masterbation the author says that there is no direct condemnation on the behavior.   When I pay someone for a services rendered, I have no idea what they are doing with that money. If I hired a landscaper to maintain my yard and he used some of the money to buy a hooker, it isn't my initial concern. My initial concern is whether or not he does a good job in my yard.

  Let's call my company, XYZ CORPORATION. I help battered woman. I take your $2000 donation for helping battered woman with housing, food and clothing, while they try to get back on their feet.

  I decide to use (secretly ) some of your donation to a nice jaunt to Las Vegas. I decide to room at the luxurious Caesar's Palace. $300 A NIGHT. I dine at the best steak house, with plenty of expensive wine. I take a limo to a attend a four star '' Topless Review Show.''

  Out of the $2000, I used $1500 on myself, while $500 went towards the cause you donated your hard earned money.

If I found out about his illicit activities, I would have to make a choice as to whether or not to continue hiring him. I wouldn't go around trashing him on public forums and trying to ruin him and making things worse for him than they already are. For all I know the man may have other income or have funds of his own that he uses for personal expenses. Maybe L.E. does too?? Either way...not my business.

  There is such a thing as ''good morals clause!''

  My initial concern is whether or not he does a good job in my yard.

  It will be your concern when this landscaper that you paid for rendered services, urinates by the back of your garage to relieve himself, or throws his cigarette butts on your property. You expect him to have good morals. I'm sure you would tell all your neighbors to not hire this landscaper after he admits that he urinated on your property.

  Lloyd received DONATED MONEY! Paying for airfare, hotels, food, transportation and hookers was not ''Rendered Services.'' Paying for his studio and other expenses that would further the community is what the donated money was for!

  We had the most pompous elder make his wife attend the Tuesday night meeting after she buried her mother that morning. Here she was sitting in the back row crying, while her pompous elder husband was conducting the Ministry School meeting. He probably made her attend that evening telling her that being at the Kingdom Hall would make her feel better than sitting home.

  To me, L.E is simply a collector and bringer of information. An ordinary and flawed man who puts out some very informative YouTube videos and updates about a subject that I'm interested and about an organization I have been profoundly effected by.

  Lloyd found a way to make a living making videos for the XJW community. Our lives won't change one way or the other from his videos or his personal life.

  Please watch Lloyd Evans call Anthony Morris...'' an arrogant, pigheaded, smallminded, homophobic asshole,'' because he went out and bought one thousand dollars of liquor.   Will the Watchtower Society and elders provide fictional GEYDI financial help, bereavement counseling or help with day to day hardships after she lost her husband? Paragraph 17 mentions all the help GEYDI will get to overcome the mourning of a loved one:

Are you grieving because a family member was disfellowshipped? Study in order to convince yourself that God’s way of administering discipline is always best.
